This week’s Diversity-owned Business Spotlight is: Quang Restaurant. It’s an institution best known for its pho. Quang was started 30+ years ago by Lung Tran and put pho on the Mpls map, way before it got popular. Since the matriarch’s retirement, it’s now run by five of her seven children: Reed, Ann McRoy, Heather Mandanas, Kue Pham and Charles Truong. The menu is made up of Vietnamese dishes with a Chinese influence that represents the family heritage. Obviously, the star is the Pho. Get the pho. They have different kinds. If for some reason pho isn’t your jam, they have other types of soups and banh mi sandwiches. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. Skeptical of to-go pho? They package your food so carefully that all you have to do is add the noodles, basil, lime, sprouts, jalapeño pepper, and protein to your broth. Their spring rolls and egg rolls are must get add-ons (try the rice paper egg rolls). And do yourself a favor and throw in a banh bao or two to your order. Don’t argue, just do it. They also reheat easily pho sure (allow me 1 pun). The Quang dining room has gotten a remodel for eating there. Delivery available through Door Dash & Bite Squad, as well as curbside pick-up.
